We have had a wonderful week in Grendon House and in Barbados. Amaria, Lorraine and Immanuel have been fantastic and we have been looked after beautifully. Eating some delicious spicy/tasty food. We look forward to coming back some day!

Another amazing holiday in this wonderful house. The staff have been so friendly and helpful to us all. The beach facilities at Sandy Lane are second to none and cocktails were fab! Many thanks to all, we all have so many great memories to take home Cheers!

Thank you for an absolutely wonderful holiday again! I will always cherish my memories of Barbados. The lovely people, the amazing beaches, and the fabulous snorkeling!! I love this house because I loved the animals and Activities.

Our vacation was absolutely amazing! We came to Grendon House four years ago before lockdown and we had to come again! The new chef, kay, has been making amazing food and Lorraine and Amaria have been so helpful! The pool was great, and the beach is fabulous! We went snorkeling and saw a cute turtle! If you want to go on a boat ride, we recommend El Tigre catamaran cruise. It was nice sitting on the back porch and having a chat after dinner. We went coconut hunting, for my little brother who really wanted one and we got to see some monkeys! If you wake up around 8:30, you may see some monkeys out back by the golf course. Overall, we had a really nice stay!

We originally chose Grendon house because of its access to Sandy Lane beach; however, ironically, we only made it to the beach one day. Our family enjoyed hanging out at the house and pool in the afternoons. From the landscaping to the pool to the house layout, all create the most peaceful and serene ambiance. We loved the openness and sitting out in the porches. During the day we went on various excursions to experience the Barbados history and culture. At night we loved playing ping pong tournaments and cards at the house. The best kept secrets of Grendon House are Amaria, Emmanuel, and Lorraine. Each of their talents are treasured and will highly be missed. We loved Amaria’s smile and friendliness and she always answered all our silly questions. She and Lorraine did a splendid job keeping this large house always looking clean and organized. Emmanuel is a top chef! There is no need to ever eat out because his creations are divine. We will truly miss each of their personal touches! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us. It was better than we could ever dream. It made our first trip to Barbados special, and we have lots of lovely memories and pictures to take home with us.

We just finished our trip to Grendon House While fresh in my mind - I want to share some feedback of the house, the experience and Barbados in general - as this was our first trip here. Overall - great trip. great place, would recommend it. First - Barbados: We have visited a lot of the Caribbean. Barbados rates very high on the list as a place to visit. The people are great. They get tourism is key to their success. Everyone speaks english. The infrastructure of the island is strong - roads, internet, power, water (drinkable). Staying on the West Coast - we never had any concerns of safety. We rented a car - and found driving (with a GPS) to be a great way to get around - and is 100% required. Supermarket - The supermarket down the road (Massy) is a fully stocked Supermarket like you would find in the UK, US or Canada. It is about 1.4 miles away from the hotel. It is EXPENSIVE compared to the US. Figure everything is at least 2x what you would pay in the US (in USD), and in some cases 4x. So, be prepared for that. They have the brands you will know - but you will pay. Some fresh items did run out. Welcome to an island. We brought some essentials from home, and knowing this - would have brought more. An extra checked bag worth of stuff would easily pay for itself in a moment. Grendon House Location: Grendon house is on a lane between the 'highway' and the Sandy Lane Resort. It is about 1 mile from the Country Club Course and about a mile to the Beach. It sits right off the 5th hole of the Old 9 course - but it does have a wall / landscaping to provide separation. Both are walkable - and parking is available at both locations -as well as the Old 9 course. There is nothing else closer. The house is a part of the Sandy Lane Villas - but this does not give full access to the resort. You can book golf (at a discount) and dine - but you do not have the rights to the resort pool or other amenities (Gym). There is an owners beach club - which was a good option and never that busy when we were there. The house is in a very private location. It is behind a gate and is very secure. The only unexpected visitors we had were a group of monkeys that came by twice to visit. The house: The house is huge and has so many great covered seating locations and dining locations - with just awesome indoor / outdoor spaces. Everyone can find their own space to sit and read, play cards, talk, drink,.... Due to this unique (and awesome) layout - the AC is limited to the bedrooms and a TV room. This never was an issue for us. 5th Bedroom. The 5th bedroom is on other side of the the kitchen - and from the layout was probably designed originally as the Staff Quarters. Be mindful of that if you need the 5th room. There are some tiny, biting bugs. Windows and doors in the rooms are opened during the day. There is a 'Vape' mat under the beds that we figured out several days into the trip. I replaced the mat - and that seemed to keep the bugs away. Play it safe and bring some spray (like Off) and some anti-itch in case you need it. Mats are in the night stand in the rooms. Also - only bar soap is provided. Any other showering things you need (Shampoo,...) bring or you will need to get from the store. House Staff. They are great. A team of 3 - they were there when we needed them. They have been with the house a long time - and they know how to run the place. They will not get in your way - and will take care of everything you need at the house. The only key thing that John (cook) needs is food to cook with. We made several runs to the store and fish market (Fish, Fish and More Fish) to get provisions. He will tell you what he needs - and is creative to use what you have provided and what you like. Food was always great and a lot of it. He has an unlimited menu of options - and we let him make whatever he wanted with what we provided. Dining out. Just when you thought the supermarket was expensive - wait until you try to eat out. Simply - we did not do it (beyond a run for the kids to the new Burger King (next to Massy) and the Chefette for Pizza). John took care of us - and cooked up an awesome selection of meals. If you do want to go out - just be prepared. As an example - the Country Club Golf course lunch menu has Fish and Chips entree for about $50 USD. Currency: Every place takes credit cards, and every place took USD. If you use USD, you will get change in local currency. ATMs are available. Other things to do: Catamaran tour - Calabaza - great. Lots to eat and drink. Deep see fishing - Mom's Therapy - Hard core fishing boat, no frill. Bring drinks. Golf - Old 9 at Sandy Lane - good, fun, 1/2 of an 18 - a good 'value' compared to Country Club 9 and a fun course. Fish, Fish and More Fish - see Melissa for fresh fish for John to cook, just down the road St Nicholas Abbey - skip it - but drive by to see the views on the way to Bathsheba at Cherry Tree Hill

This was an amazing experience. We loved every moment of the stay. The staff could not be better. Very sweet people. We hated to leave. Thank you from the bottom o four hearts

What an amazing country!! The sights, the sounds, the smells are all so unique and special. Above all the people, especially those at the Grendon house, are warm, generous and full of light and love! We had a memorable and special time here in Barbados and have to return one day soon

This trip was made extremely memorable and worth while. The staff was very professional and friendly. John's cooking was absolutely exceptional. The house was beautiful and always well maintained, we appreciate all of your hard work taking care of us and we would definitely come again!

Terrific family vacation, Staff was wonderful, setting was perfect, the beach lovely, and the place extremely comfortable. A storm knocked the Internet out; but the local property managers did everything they could to restore it.

2nd time at Grendon House! Enjoyed it even more this time as we felt we were coming home! So relaxing and nothing is too much trouble for the ladies who look after us. Regina your cooking is memorable, Marion you are the mother hen who organises us and Lorraine who works so hard to make sure we have a clean rooms and wonderfully laundered clothes. We will miss you sooooooo much! Thank you for a fantastic week again, you always make us feel at home . See you again soon!

Ten very enjoyable days. The first time in 35 years we haven't been on the beach of the west coast but Grendon house was the best stay we have had yet! it was great fun and enjoyed by the whole family. The staff were the most attentive and friendly we have ever had.

The house is wonderful and the staff were amazing John's dishes were a delight every time. This has been a memorable first trip to Barbados, thanks to them! Access to Sandy Lane beach is such a big bonus. WE would very highly recommend Grendon House; and wold love to come back again. Thank you so much John, Amaria, Lorraine and Sue from all of us.

We are here celebrating our parents 50th wedding anniversary and couldn't have asked for a better house!! 11 of us and we have more than enough room.... the staff is wonderful and very accommodating; not easy when our ages range from 4 to 75! The Cook was awesome! So good that we never bothered to eat out once! The staff runs a tight ship! Thanks so much for making this celebration so special. Hopefully we will be back soon!!

Grendon House is a stunning villa! Beautifully decorated, the owner obviously has a good eye with interiors! It is by far the best villa we have stayed in! The staff were first class. How wonderful it was not to have to think about meals, they were taken care of and every meal was very tasty, packed full of flavours. The cooking pleased all of the family which is saying something! Thank you so much girls for looking after us so well!! We will be back!

Our time here at Grendon House has been nothing short of extraordinary. Having been to the island many times, this house and its wonderful staff with its beautiful location have made this visit unique. Im sure I speak for the entire family when i say this was an unforgettable vacation and that we hope to walk Grendon halls once again. From the bottom of our hearts we thank all the staff for a wonderful trip.

What an amazing vacation my extended family had at Grendon House. There were 9 of us - ages 60+ to 7, and all ages enjoyed the vacation home for a week-long holiday. We couldn't have asked for more. From the ever-attentive house staff (Nancy made us some fantastic traditional Bajan dishes!) to the calm and relaxing pool to the cool and comfortable sitting rooms and bedrooms, we enjoyed it all. The photos do not do the house true justice! If rest and relaxation is what you are after, Grendon House is the place. Some days we barely left the house, but when we did venture out in the rental cars, we found grocery shopping and stores nearby. The house manager helped us with directions to drive into town, and we visited the caves and other local attractions. Overall, it was a great holiday. Staying at Grendon House definitely elevated our expectations for future vacation villas!

Our 2nd time at Grendon House and an even better stay than the first! Our great thanks to Amaria, John, Lorraine & Rodney for making us feel so welcome. We are already planning our next stay!

The hospitality this week from all the staff has lead to us having a brilliant vacation. Regina the pumpkin fritters were amazing. Our only criticism is that we have to go home.

It's our last morning and I don't want to leave! Grendon House has been heaven. By far the nicest villa we have ever rented. We loved the beautiful tropical gardens - ginger lilies, frangipani and lobster claws. The many relaxing places to sit and read or chat. The games room for epic table tennis tournaments, the bar for making up tropical cocktails using fresh coconuts from the garden. The Staff - Nancy your cooking is superb. Amaria and Lorraine were so cheerful and easy to be around. Nothing was too much trouble. We love the beach - our early morning swim today will stay with me forever. the beach was so tranquil and perfect. We also loved Holders' Farmers market on Sunday morning, with live music and great organic food and souvenirs. I can't wait to come back next year!

Thank you for the fantastic food and the amazing house, we might just have to come back next year. We love this island and Grendon House more! Thanks to the ladies for making our vacation perfect.

Our second trip; just as fantastic as the first. Thanks to our new chef, Glenroy, for the 5-star meals every day. Along with all of our staff, Amaria and Lorraine, many thanks for making our vacation in paradise such a wonderful week.

We have enjoyed our daughters wedding on the beach as well as Andrews 50th birthday. The villa was everything we needed for a very very relaxing holiday. Amaria, John and Lorraine have been wonderful!

After many years of visiting Barbados, why didn't we find this home earlier; what a magnificent home!!! The staff is amazing, always with a smile. Amaria & Lorraine help the keep the home in pristine condition and tended to all of our needs. John is an amazing "chef"....not a cook. Whatever we want to eat, whenever we want it. Paradise!!! Absolute Paradise!!! Definitely will do two weeks on our next visit.

Amaria, John, Rodney & Lorrraine welcomed our two families with open arms and Bajan hospitality. What a delight to have a personal chef, who cooked with love and accommodated our dietary requests. John's curry and barbeque meals beat any restaurant experience. Rodney was both attentive and professional. We enjoyed getting to know him and sharing stories. Lorraine was an excellent asset to the team. What a gift to have clean, fresh laundry daily! What can we say about the wonderful Amaria! Her warm smile and contagious laughter brought joy to the day. She was committed to making our stay enjoyable and carefree. Grendon House is a beautiful, well-appointed retreat for our party of 8. We Would highly recommend Grendon House to our friends. The indoor/outdoor living exceeded our expectations! Thank you for providing an amazing staff and for allowing us to use your beautiful home!
